WHILL Model F

Styling

The WHILL Model F features the same modern styling as other WHILL powerchairs such as the popular Model C2. This sets it apart from other powered wheelchairs, some of which have more dated designs. A choice of side colour panels (white, black, light green, red and light blue) lets you personalise your Model F.

Travel

Your Whill Model F smoothly folds up into a compact size – this can fit in the back of a car, and is convenient for travel on buses, trains and planes. It also helps with storing it out of the way when not in use. With the light, lithium battery removed, the Model F weighs 24 kg, allowing it to be lifted into the back of a vehicle.

Technology

The WHILL app lets you connect to your Model F to manage settings, check key information, and lock and unlock your powerchair. You can even drive it remotely through the app!

A range of 12.4 miles will last you through the day, and the Model F has a top speed of 4 mph. Accessories available for the WHILL Model F include a dust cover, cane holder, lap belt and spare battery.

Our Verdict

We think the WHILL is a unique looking folding powerchair, best suited to those after a clean-looking modern product. For something a bit better performing, Pride’s iGo Plus gives a more comfortable ride and can tackle some rougher surfaces than the Model F. Lighter products such as the Aerolite and eFoldi are also available, if 24 kg is too much for you to lift.

The “standard” WHILL Model C2 is worth considering too – it can dismantle into three pieces that can be easily lifted into a car, so is just as transportable. It also features larger omni wheels for much better outdoor performance, albeit at an increased cost.
