Product Description
Repose designed the Harlem around Huntington’s, but it is also ideal for other conditions with ataxic movements, MND, MS, and those which cause painful joints such as arthritis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and osteoporosis. It can be used in healthcare, nursing home and domestic situations.
The Harlem features an independently adjustable reclining backrest, allowing for a range of repositioning. A choice of four cushion designs, including memory foam and gel, help to ensure the appropriate comfort and pressure relief. Six interchangeable and adjustable backrest options allow for the support needed. There are also several headrest choices offering varying levels of support.
Heavy-duty push handles ensure ease of movement of the Harlem, and the castor wheels can be locked in place when the chair is parked where you want it. The Harlem features a slide-out footplate to allow the user to place their feet safely while being moved.
As with other Repose healthcare chairs, there hundreds of fabric options are available to personalise your Harlem chair; all of these are waterproof, and the cushions can be removed for cleaning.
Our Verdict
For those after a manual porter’s chair, the Harlem is a good value option that is comfortable and supportive. If you require one urgently, an Express configuration is available; otherwise we would normally recommend getting your Harlem made to measure to precisely match your requirements.
