Product Description
Carbon Frame
Progeo’s Duke is made up of two carbon fibre frames in a monocoque design, which confers a reactive ride. It falls halfway between being a regular adjustable rigid chair and being a fully made to measure fixed one. This means you get the responsiveness and weight savings of stripping out unnecessary adjustments, while still being able to make some fine-tuning adjustments such as to the rear wheel height and backrest position.
Personalisation
The nature of the frame means that the Duke doesn’t have quite the same range of options for its set-up, for example the front frame is only available with a compact, active 90° bend – most people getting this level of chair will want this anyway, but it won’t suit those that require their legs angled further out in front. However, the Duke is still very much a made to measure chair, with all the key dimensions such as seat width, depth, heights, backrest height and more set up to provide a perfect fit that makes the Duke an extension of your body.
Other aspects of the wheelchair can be personalised, including a range of castor and rear wheels, various footrest types, brakes, sideguards and more. This allows you to achieve the perfect blend of performance, weight savings, cost, and appearance. If you require support for your posture, a backrest from Progeo’s AIR range can be fitted, with the carbon shell ensuring your Duke remains lightweight. Third party seating options can also be fitted if preferred.
Style
The Duke has a sporty shape to its frame, and comes with a gloss finish that shows off its carbon fibre construction. It can still be personalised with a choice of coloured castor forks and rear wheel accents, although the monochrome look as pictured is popular.
