Product Description
Motion Healthcare’s Evolite is from a new generation of super-light boot scooters that are much easier to lift into the back of your car. Traditional steel-framed boot scooters feature components weighing 15+ kg, which can be a struggle for many to lift. The Evolite quickly dismantles into five manageable pieces, and the aluminium frame means the heaviest part weighs just 10 kg.
The battery on the Evolite is a light lithium one, which is just 3 kg. It offers a good range of up to 9 miles on a single charge, and also complies with the CAA’s regulations allowing for safe air transport on a plane.
Unique to the Evolite is its ultra-soft tyre compound – this provides a less bumpy ride than traditional solid tyres, without the worry of getting a puncture that comes with pneumatics. Other luxury features include a well-padded seat and ergonomic delta tiller. The Evolite’s modern black and silver design is complemented by either purple or blue shroud accents.
Our Verdict
We think the Evolite is a good-value aluminium framed boot scooter ideal for people who struggle to lift heavier steel framed models. It’s comparable to Pride’s popular Apex Alumalite, and which you go for is really down to a matter of trying both out in our showroom! Rascal’s VelumiLi is similar, but uniquely has a two year warranty on both scooter and battery. If you’re looking for a touch more luxury, then Pride’s Alumalite Plus and Motion Healthcare’s Alumina are similar scooters that feature full suspension for additional comfort.
