We selected the Sunrise Medical Breezy Basix2 as our Elevated Leg Rest Wheelchair, due to its sturdy, reliable yet lightweight aluminium construction.

Elevating Leg Rests

Depending on your need, you can choose to have either the left, right or both leg rests elevate, allowing you to keep your legs straight out in front of you. The elevating leg rests are angle adjustable, allowing you to adjust them to a position that suits you, or have them at a lower angle should you no longer need your leg fully elevated.

Transport

Just like our Lightweight Foldable Wheelchair, this wheelchair folds down for easy transport. By lifting the padded seat sling and dropping the catches on the backrest, the wheelchair can easily be put into the back of a car.

The lightweight design makes it easy for those who aren’t used to using their upper body to self propel short distances, such as a few hundred yards, whilst ensuring that they don’t bear any weight on their injury. Alternatively, the convenient push handles and large wheels make it easy to push.

Features

The armrests can be flipped back out of the way for those needing to side transfer – a common requirement for those who need their leg elevated.

The tension adjustable backrest straps under the backrest upholstery can be individually adjusted to provide the appropriate level of support for your back.
