Product Description
Kuschall Super Light welded frame
For those that know their exact position and preferred set-up, the Kuschall Super Light is the ultimate Kuschall chair. The frame is fully welded, cutting down on unnecessary weight and providing a stiffer more responsive ride. Hydroforming makes the frame stronger and more rigid than before, while the straight edge design of the frame provides an ergonomic grip for transfers and lifting. With a transport weight starting at just 4.3 kg, the KSL is one of the lightest wheelchairs available on the market, over 15% lighter than the adjustable K-Series.
Seating and Configurability
Your KSL will be made-to-measure for the lightest construction and a perfect fit. A wide range of sizes and options allow your wheelchair to be customised to match your requirements. Lightweight features come as standard on the KSL, including a carbon fibre axle tube and carbon sideguards, while further upgrades include a titanium footplate to further reduce weight and increase its durability.
Style
With no unnecessary adjustments, the elegant frame of the KSL has a clean, minimalistic look. Kuschall chairs are known for their iconic design, and their 2.0 revamp of the range has a striking, powerful geometry to it. You can customise your KSL with a range of colours and decals – our preferred looks are a black frame with gold accents, or a “cleaner” white with crisp blue accents – but you can go for any colour you like from an understated monochrome to flashy orange.
Our Verdict
With its welded frame meaning it lacks after-supply adjustment, the KSL is for experienced wheelchair users who know their preferred setup already – in which case it is a super-light and extremely rigid performance chair. If you need adjustability, we would recommend the K-Series instead.
Other welded models to consider are Ti-Lite’s ZR and TR – these are a bit more expensive, but come in titanium for vibration-dampening and ultimate levels of durability.
