Tilt in space wheelchairs offer great comfort to their users, but due to their larger size and heavier weight can be a real strain for carers to push around or brake. The ViaPlus V12 powerpack solves this problem, allowing the wheelchair to move at just the press of a button, with a reverse function too. The automatic braking function addresses worries about using the wheelchair when going down hills or ramps.

This makes excursions easier than ever to manage, allowing the wheelchair user to enjoy getting out and about more than would otherwise be possible. Fully crash-tested, it can remain safely attached to the wheelchair whilst being transported in a vehicle.

For indoor manoeuvring, the drive wheels can be raised by simply pushing down on a foot pedal, allowing the wheelchair to be turned easily.

Unlike traditional powerpacks, the ViaPlus does not impede the adjustability or functions of a tilt in space wheelchair, allowing the user to tilt, recline and raise their legs in comfort with a chair perfectly fitted to them.

This makes it a popular option for care home situations, where multiple carers may be looking after one person. There is no need to remove the ViaPlus once it is mounted, and the controls are intuitive and clearly labelled – easy to use, even for a beginner. The powerful battery can cope with long walks, and is simple to recharge with the included charger.

The ViaPlus V12 will fit on all Rea Azalea, Rea Clematis and Rea Dahlia models with the exception of the Tall, Max and Minor variants – if you have one of those, there are alternative powerpacks available that we can supply.
